SIN
The challenge of sin has eaten deep into the fabrics of many lives. The fear of being freed from sin has held many bound in its chains. If we understand what sin does to humans, we will appreciate the irrelevance of disobeying God. Romans 6:23. Sin does not take away the salvation of our soul as some people fear.
As a matter of fact, fear is not enough to dissuade man from sinning as it is man sinful nature to sin....A nature inherited from the First man and woman as a result of their transgression. It was Gods intention to establish man in the same state as him irrespective of her inferior state but man abused the privileged which led to dethronement. The lost of the divine nature gave the devil room to unleashed death on us.
Roman 6:16
Know ye not that to whomever ye yield yourselves as servants to obey, his servants ye become whom ye obey, whether of sin which leads unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Whose servant are you? You answered that question if you had offered your life to Christ. You are Christ's servant and as people who are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light, there is a way you ought to live.
Romans 8:12-17
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to son-ship. And by him we cry, “Abba,Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. As Jesus came and died to redeem us back to our original state, we are given back that same divine nature. It is therefore expected that we bear fruit onto holiness.
